Dustin Long is a third-generation builder and the leader guiding the next chapter of Big Sky Construction. Raised on job sites and mentored by his father, founder Bob Long, Dustin grew up immersed in the craft of building, working summers in the field before earning his degree in construction management and stepping into leadership.

With more than a decade of specialized experience in dental and medical construction through Big Sky Northwest, Dustin is known for blending disciplined planning with genuine, people-first leadership. He champions an early-collaboration, CMAR-style approach that protects clients’ vision, budget, and timeline — whether building a flagship dental practice or expanding Big Sky’s 40-year public-sector legacy in Texas.

Grounded in family values and driven by precision, Dustin leads with integrity, calm confidence, and a commitment to long-term relationships, building not just structures, but futures.

Bob Long has nearly 40 years of experience in the construction industry, most of which have been dedicated to Big Sky Construction, which he founded in Dallas in 1987. He continues to serve as the company’s Owner and President, directing the strategic growth of his company while maintaining his commitment to his clients and employees.

Over the course of his career, Bob has managed the overall quality and project oversight on construction projects valued at more than $500 million.

Licensed as a General Contractor in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma, Bob’s project experience spans numerous industries, with extensive experience in municipal projects, education bid packages, private sector projects, medical renovations, government projects, and houses of worship.

These projects include school renovations and additions, fire and police stations, recreation centers and water parks, medical facilities, distribution warehouses, churches, retail stores and more.

By ensuring high quality construction and client satisfaction, Bob’s dynamic leadership has grown Big Sky Construction into one of the most respected general contracting firms in Dallas.

With Big Sky since 2013, Ashlie Boyer oversees the financial operations of the company, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, monthly financial and job-cost reports, and audit documentation.

Ashlie supports Big Sky internally, with almost 10 years of administrative experience, both in and beyond the construction industry. She is also involved with human resources and benefits for all Big Sky employees.

Ashlie studied Business Administration at Colorado Technical University and earned her Associate of Science degree in Architectural Drafting from the High Tech Institute.

With her background in architectural drafting, Ashlie has also assisted project managers with several education, municipal, and healthcare projects.

Vanessa Salinas is an experienced Pre-Construction Coordinator/M/WBE Coordinator/Marketing Coordinator with over 13 years in the construction industry. Vanessa supports Big Sky Construction’s growth by bridging pre-construction, compliance, and brand strategy. She coordinates pre-construction efforts, including bid organization, subcontractor outreach, and proposal development, while leading M/WBE participation tracking, compliance documentation, and community-focused engagement. In addition, Vanessa helps drive marketing initiatives by supporting proposals, social media presence, and client-focused messaging that reflects Big Sky’s values and industry expertise.

Her roles ensure projects are positioned competitively, inclusively, and professionally from pursuit through award.

Rick has over 10 years of construction experience, including project management of multimillion-dollar projects. Rick has experience working closely with owners, architects, superintendents, and subcontractors on Dallas ISD construction projects. Rick is responsible for assisting with quality control, RFIs, ASIs, reviewing submittals, attending project walk-throughs, safety, scheduling, and inspections with the owner and architect, and working on project closeout documents.

Barbara supports daily administrative operations while managing essential human resources functions to keep the organization running efficiently. This role serves as a central point of coordination for staff, leadership, and external partners, ensuring smooth office workflows, organized communication, and a positive employee experience.

Emmy Quirino has over 16 years of construction experience. As a project manager, she has helped manage all aspects of construction projects, including, contract administration, change orders, scheduling, subcontractor and field activities, submittals, requests for information, and general changes in the scope of work, procurement, budget management, buy-out of materials, preconstruction and progress meetings, schedule of values/monthly applications for payment and coordination of project closeout. She understands the importance of working closely with the Owner and architect to develop the schedule and budget during preconstruction to ensure a smooth transition to the construction phase.

Paul offers hands-on construction management with over 25 years of experience in all areas of the industry. He is well-versed in supervising, overseeing, and monitoring project teams and all project activities from preliminary design through completion, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes for construction projects. Paul is experienced in school renovations and municipal work. He is experienced in coordinating subcontractors’ activities and developing streamlined strategies to meet scheduled milestones. As a superintendent, he has managed all aspects of onsite construction projects, including scheduling, preconstruction planning, QC, safety, progress meetings, and communication with onsite contacts for the owner. He has a consistent record of completing projects on time and within budget.
